The Rage ‘n Fyre has been playing roller derby in Grande Prairie Alberta since 2010, building their team into a force to be reckoned with. They have represented all across Alberta, played at Flat Track Fever in 2012 and 2013, and are also setting up a Junior league. Bringing the derby love to the communities of Banff and Canmore, Bow Valley Roller Derby’s ”Lady Macs” take their name from a famous mountain, and they are proud to have completed their first full competitive season in 2013. In 2010, Calgary’s men’s roller derby team the Glenmore Reservoir Dogs was founded, and in early 2011 they set up Chinook City Roller Derby League and welcomed men and women to practice and skate together. Later that year, the Dogs’ sister team the Kill Jills was born. The league’s Junior division is called the Youthanizers, and they are proving that age and size are no barriers to playing good roller derby. In 2012 CCRD brought roller derby to the Olympic Oval
